We all have to start somewhere and there is never any ending to where Yoga can take you…everything we do in our lives is some form of Yoga. There are always ways to grow and develop and this practice allows us to see ourselves as we truly are.
Can I be alone without being lonely? Can I spend time by myself without craving noise or the company of other people? And the answer....Oh YES!🥰
Quiet time spent alone, time spent listening to my soul has been a wonderful discovery. It’s taken me many years to realise that some of life’s most precious moments are not loud and raucous. Silence and stillness are amazing virtues. Solitude brings with it gifts that come from nowhere else and eventually I see that within myself is a sanctuary to which I can retreat at any time and be myself with no commentary from others. It’s such a beautiful place of peace🌼🌸🌺
“Words are like arrows. Once fired, you cannot call them back.” Quote: Marcus Aurelius
Words have such power and are a creative force. Words are one thing that distinguishes us from other animals...the ability to communicate. Yet how many of us really communicate...let alone in a kind and loving way? Do we really consider the impact of the words we use? Do we really listen? Or do we just hear what we want to hear? Maybe if we understood the power of our words, we would remain silent more often. In our thoughts and words, we create our own weaknesses and strengths. And let’s be honest, how many times have we all said things that we instantly regret or wish we’d said in a different way. I guess all we can do is learn from those experiences.
As Plato said: a wise person has something to say - a fool has to say something
Look at the joy, happiness and warmth in that little creature! Her name is Paris🐶🥰
Unconditional love is selfless and is the outer expression of inner peace. One of the greatest gifts we can give someone (and ourselves) is the space to be his or herself, without threat or judgement. Loving and being loved unconditionally means taking a leap of faith and it starts with self-love. Everything starts from within. Learning to accept who we are without seeking to change can be challenging. Insisting that we need to change ourselves immediately puts conditions on the love we have for ourselves. That’s not to say change won’t happen, but it needs to be unforced and natural. Maybe when we stop chasing changes in ourselves (because we somehow think we’re not enough as we are), we can begin to love others without needing them to change.
